Folding knives are confidently leading in demand among tourists and people who like picnics. These knives are convenient, safe to transport, reliable for performing various types of works. Firebird F7551 model has all the above mentioned characteristics as well as an advantage over other knives which is its unique design.

The blade of this knife looks really unusual. It has a very wide blade with notch on the side of the butt. The line of cutting edge gradually rises, but the butt is visibly bent outward almost at the blade level, and then sharply drops downward. This form is called Shipfoot. It makes it very convenient to shred and cut, although it practically does not allow chopping. Blade thickness is 3.3mm and, therefore, it will be able to sustain work even with very hard materials. The blade is smoothly sharpened and grinded using the Satin wash method. Such grinding allows visually hide small scuffs on the metal, which appear with time on any knife. The hole on the blade plays rather a decorative role, and also allows to reduce its weight a little.

The handle for Firebird F7551 is made of material known as G10. In fact, this is fiberglass with composite structure, which has a small weight, but large safety factor. It is conveniently formed in such a way as to repeat the outlines of the compressed palm.

Firebird F7551 model is supplied with Axis lock that provides firm fixation of the blade when it is opened. It is really durable and reliable lock, which requires only a timely cleaning of dust or other elements trapped inside the mechanism.

Another good ganzo. Would be a five star but the blade hits the back spacer if you snap it shut hard. My fifth ganzo and is typically excellent. If you don’t care about the politics of the knife “community”, most of the negativity directed at this brand is hypocritical nonsense, and just want the best knife available for this price then get a ganzo. Some ganzo’s are copies (tho this one isn’t) but how many other products are copies of something else (everything at Sam’s club for example and most things at…

Fit and finish very similar to Benchmade Absolutely stunning for the price! This knife came out of the box scary sharp, cutting cardboard like butter. The fit and finish are very similar to that of my Benchmade, but the lock on this one is a bit tighter (not flickable). I assume I could loosen it up, but I actually like the feel of it as is. There is no blade play whatsoever. I really like the blade shape – unique, functional, and no one would claim that it is actually trying to pretend to be a Benchmade. I bought this as a beater,…

Good value but not what exactly what I wanted. I originally gave this three stars… I’m revising it up to four stars. My original comments all remain accurate to this day, but the things I liked have largely outweighed the negatives the longer I own this folding knife. Ultimately, the unique design has me reaching for this knife to EDC despite all the true comments I listed below.========================I struggled with whether to give this knife a four or three star rating and ultimately went with the lower…
