Good Antenna! I have had a couple of the firestik antennas and I have yet to have a problem. They have good reception and are easy to tune with an SWR meter. I have this one mounted on my jeep on the tire carrier and it barely sticks up above the roof rack, but I still have good reception even at a distance. I like that this one is lighter weight, but is still stout.
Works well but SWR varies SWR varies greatly from channel 1 to channel 40. If I set this up on channel 10 with a SWR of 1, which I can easily do, then the SWR is 2 at channel 1 and close to 3 on channel 40. Never saw this with my old Wilson. The size and style works well with a spare tire bracket mount on my JK, it sticks up just enough above the soft top. Haven’t hit any tree limbs with it yet but seems like it will hold up well.
