Just right camp tool and lite enough to backpack. Sharp, lite, strong, perfect size for backpack, not great for processing wood, but perfect for use in camp.
Fiskar’s best product. Most Fiskars products are excellent, and this hatchet is, IMO, Fiskar’s best product. Really good steel… takes and keeps an edge you could shave with (Ok… slight exaggeration, and not an experiment I would try, but when other tools, like the Fiskar’s brush axe, simply knock a small stem sideways, this slices through).
A Great Buy!!! This hatchet is high quality! Feels great when swinging and does work very well. Due to the weight and shape of the head and blade- it makes quick work of anything you are doing. Perfect for those small camp fires and fire pits as an essential tool. Be warned though- if you hit the blade on anything hard- like a rock- you will damage the metal. Due to the lower grade of steel used for this hatchet- the edge will not hold for too long and is easily dinged and dented with hard impacts (full…
