Meh. Not gorgeous like in the pics…but still nice looking The handle on the one I got is just a basic black, not the white camel bone depicted here (sad, as that’s what made me want to get it). It seems corroded along part of the design on the base of the blade, which makes me feel like this might not be real damascus steel, but only acid etched. I got it as a gift for someone and don’t have time to return it and get something else, so this will have to do, but I’ll ask him to let me know about it’s functionality and quality later and update this…

Buying this was a MISTAKE! I was VERY disappointed with this Item. Many people complained about the looks, but I wanted to give it a try. I made a mistake. for one thing, to me the most important thing, was the fact that the Blade lock tab extended about a quarter inch into the gripping area of the Knife. as such, there was no way I could comfortable grip the knife and apply any kind of pressure without the lock tab gouging into my finger. this defect makes the knife unusable from a practical aspect.

very pretty, not very good knife though. dulls very quickly.
