Good but long as received for short people These poles worked very well on a recent hiking and pyramid climbing expedition to Guatemala and Honduras. However, before we left I tested the poles and discovered they were too long for both my wife’s 5’2″ and my 5’7″. Thus, I dis-assembled them and removed a section. They then fit perfectly, were easy to transport and were solid using.

Probably the best of its kind For hiking in the woods near home, I would prefer my Buckthorn Hiking Staff for its overall stability and strength.But for hiking in Hawaii that requires me to fly there first, my Buckthorn stick cannot pass airport checkpoint and get into airplane.Therefore, the next best choice would be a colappsible pole like this one because it can fit in the bottom of my carry-on luggage (it’s only 12 inches long).I rate this one the best of its kind because:…
