The handle of the S112 knife is of ergonomic shape that fits the hand perfectly good. It is formed with steel liners and has beautiful wooden and steel grip plates. The wood used for the manufacture of plates has undergone special treatment, and is resistant to moisture, rot and pests. Warm in freezing temperatures and pleasant to the touch, the plates perfectly suit the polished blade.
The knife is equipped with a fairly large blade of Tanto type with a clip point. The mirror-polished blade is made of 440C steel which cuts perfectly and preserve its sharpness for a long time.
The knife is equipped with the Back Lock, one of the very first and famous locks, sometimes called the “spine” for the characteristic metal part of the lock, running along the whole “back” of the knife handle. The structure of the lock is simple, but at the same time it is very reliable. That very “spine” simultaneously acts as a button of the lock and as a blade stopper in the unfolded state. A thin plate inside the handle performs the role of the spring.

I bought this because I like Samurai swords I bought this because I like Samurai swords, and this looked like a smaller foldable version of that. Although this is a large knife and feels pretty comfortable when holding it. The balance of the weight is really nice. I mainly bought this knife to cut open boxes and it seems to be sharp enough for that purpose. I am happy with it, it is cool.
