When it comes to starting a fire, nothing touches the Spark-Lite for functionality and ease. This version of the official U.S. Military fire starter, comes with an extra flint and a wrench, providing a way to extend the life of the Spark-Lite even farther. Extremely light weight and simple to use, no one should be without one in every backpack and emergency kit you own. To use this simple tool, just pull a Tinder-Quik tab from the plastic case and ignite with the Spark-Lite. Tinder-Quik is waterproof and will burn for 1-2 minutes giving you plenty of time to get your fire started. The Spark-lite will even work with a variety of materials you can find outdoors such as milkweed and other fibrous materials. The Spark-Lite also allows for easy single handed operation. It is designed to spark hundreds of times and may be used with either the right or left hand. Other small items can be added to the Spark-Lite to turn it into a mini survival kit. Some can fit in without removing any Tinder-Quik, other items take up more space so a piece or two may need to be removed. Here are some ideas: Small blade or razor blade Mini-compass Small file Safety pin(s) Mini-light such as the Pico In addition, duct tape and/or cord can be wrapped around the outside.

Great item I have used this brass spark lite quite a bit. The sparker lights the tinder quick tabs easily as long as you fluff one of the ends up first. I like that the flint is easily replaceable, but needing the supplied tool to do so is annoying. I just see the tiny Allen wrench being easy to lose in the field. The sparker fits standard zippo flints even though they are shorter than the ones it comes with. The kit contains eight tinder quicks, but I was able to fit eighteen in mine with a bit of…

The Original and Best The brass Spark-Lite is part-firestarter and part-heirloom piece. There is some heft to it, and the flints are replaceable by the user (package includes a spare and a small wrench). There are numerous knock-offs floating around out there, most of which are inferior or just plain junk. Go for the original! While the…

I totally recommend this ! Now this was way smaller than I had thought. I was expecting a big pack or something, but this is really small and easy to use. I will definitely be getting several more of these when I can. Works excellent. I would definitely recommend this along with matches, a magnifying glass, for camping and survival. It was very easy to start a fire, a lot easier than most of the strikers. Used two of the included cloths, Each only took 1 strike to lite.Edit Be careful not to lite the cloth…
