Massive Tarp with lots of deployment options! This is a great, large Tarp! I have 2 other popular large format (9 foot and 16 foot) square tarps and this tarp is better in many ways! I really like the catenary cut of this tarp; the curved parts that allow you to get this tarp taut and flat to better handle wind and rain. I use the tent on the beach everyday for 5 … I use the tent on the beach everyday for 5 days. The tent stands up to wind up to 15-20 mph. Unfortunately, there was no rain, so I don’t know about water resistant. The stakes that come with it were too short and definitely will not hold the tent. So, I have to order 12 inch screw type stakes from separate vendor. The reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because it did not come with instruction. Be aware that it is not really 8′ high except at two small points but otherwise big, light and stable. I found the description and photographs of the product deceptive when it claims to be 8.2′ tall. Only two of the poles are that high; the other four poles are about 4′. And even along the tall part of the tarp, it sags in the middle. So an adult cannot stand-up under much of the area under the tarp.
