Trucking cb Absolute junk took to a cb shop and they could not fix it. it receives great just won’t transmit. I bought a cobra 19 ultra 3 and it work great in the big truck!
someting wrong with it. well seems to be something wrong whit it cause it transmit in a very short distance and receive the same so I inspected with the voltmeter and the frequency meter and everything seems to bee normal ground, voltage, coaxial, antenna, and mic so at this point I don’t know what the heck is going on with that but with my old cobra transmit and receive fine so that is why I am blaming this radio.
Quality Control Problems Purchased this radio because it was a smaller size than the DX-949 and also had a front mic plug and cool blue lighting. Needed the smaller size for my truck. Had the radio for 1 week using temporarily as a base station until I could install in my truck. After using 3 times the receive started becoming garbled and the transmit worked intermittently. Finally the transmit stopped working altogether. I really liked the looks of this radio, it received great and got great reports on transmit…
