Etrex touch 35 is a color, capacitive touchscreen handheld with extra built-in internal memory to hold more maps. This rugged, dependable navigator features a high-sensitivity, was-enabled dual gps and glonass receiver and hotfix satellite prediction to locate your position quickly and precisely and maintain it evening heavy cover and deep canyons. Etrex touch 35 offers a redesigned multi-activity menu that puts information at your fingertips. Etrex 35 also features wireless connectivity for smart notification, virb action camera control and 250,000 preloaded geocaches from geocaching.com. Add a 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass and barometric altimeter, and you’re ready to go anywhere.

Don’t like it I find The Garmin etrex Touch 35 to be clumsy and inefficient. Graphics are not clear/crisp. I suppose I am spoiled by the GPSmap 60CSx that I used before this, which I am using again (even though it doesn’t seem to be able to keep the correct elevation calibrated, I prefer it 5 to 1 over the etrek Touch 35). Some of my frustrations with this unit in addition to the graphics are that it doesn’t work with Garmin MapSouce software. I can only seem to get it to work with BaseCamp software which…

Excellent GPS! Get 16-32GB SD card also. Excellent GPS! The display gets easier to read the more sun to shine on it. The back-light is not usually necessary unless you are in a dark area. 2 AA’s last a long time. Used it over the course of 4 days for 4-6 hours a day. Still had battery power by the end of the trip. Doesn’t seem to be very accurate in deep canyons but I would suspect not GPS is. Like the interface and customizable data fields you can have on your screen. Awesome Multi-Discipline GPS Great little GPS unit. If you are looking for something that is multi-discipline (hiking, running, biking, etc.) this is a great GPS. Used on my bike now for several rides with the cadence and speed sensor from Garmin and it has worked like a charm syncing and displaying info from those units.
