Never get lost I have been using my Garmin GPSMAP 78 for a month now. Easy to use if you download the manual from Garmin.I also downloaded Garmin Base Camp free from Garmin. You can edit your tracks on your PC and transfer back to your GPS. I also purchased the power adaptor,mount and case. I use it on my boat in South Louisiana in freshwater canals that all look alike. Not for marine environments! compared to previous models this is a substantial downgrade. The marine maps are clutered with a rediculous amount of depth contours, and was far from the listed waterproofing. Capsized boat and was in the water less than 30 seconds. Once back underway the unit started locking up until several days later when the batteries were pulled, which appeared dry, and the unit was left to dry out for a week.
Great screen! I have the 76csx(it died) and the old software and user options are way better on the old Garmins than the new Garmins. But having said that, I love this GPS(not the OS)! the screen is magic, colourful clear and the OS is very fast.
