The EVO Jr.’s profile reveals a seamless design that begins at the back of the blade and continues along the upper edge of the handle. This gives the knife the look, feel, and power of a dagger and makes it ideal for range of around-the-house and outdoor uses.

Anodized Aluminum Handle for Lighter Weight
To help give the knife a more powerful and aggressive feel–key if you’re using it for rugged activities like cutting through brush or weeds–the anodized aluminum handle features seven slanting oval openings. Beyond their organic look, these openings also serve to further reduce the knife’s overall weight, making it easier to handle and hold.

Durable High Carbon Stainless Steel Construction
Constructed of high carbon stainless steel coated with titanium nitride for increased corrosion resistance, the EVO Jr.’s blades can handle anything that comes their way, no matter what the conditions. A thumb stud and finger clip ensure easy one-handed operation–great for when you’re holding a box ready for cutting in one hand, and the knife in the other. For an extra measure of safety, there’s an internal finger guard.

Compact for Portability
The EVO Jr. has an overall length of 6.35 inches with a blade length of 2.75 inches and weighs just 1.8 ounces, so it’s easy to toss it in a bag, backpack, or pocket.

About Gerber: A History of Innovation
Savvy. Moxie. Craftsmanship. Attention to detail. These are just a few of the company traits that have contributed to Gerber’s emergence as a world leader in outdoor gear. Joseph Gerber started Portland, Oregon’s Gerber Advertising back in 1910, and one Christmas, he hired a local knife-maker to craft 25 sets of kitchen cutlery as client gifts. The knives were so popular Mr. Gerber ultimately left his agency to launch Gerber Legendary Blades in 1939.

It makes sense, really. An idea man gets the idea of a lifetime and turns it into a major outdoor brand–one that commands respect among knife lovers and knife makers alike. And now that same high regard is spreading in new directions, in the form of many outstanding products such as tools, personal L.E.D. lighting, and more.

Pretty Poor by Any Standard Pretty shoddy compared to all the other Gerber knives I’ve owned. The main issue is the internal locking mechanism—the spring steel that slips sideways when the blade is opened—doesn’t actually slide all the way under the back of the blade. Therefore the blade doesn’t lock.

Gerber EVO Jr. Knife Gerbers EVO Jr. Knife has a half serrated/ half straight blade which makes it ideal since it can be used for both types of cutting. The quality feels nice considering the price. It feels too lightweight and almost a bit plasticy although the blade and handle are both made out of a type of metal. The clip is very very tight and it’s difficult to get it to hook inside of my pocket. The blade was sharp right out of the box and has a thumb and pointer assist for easy opening and closing. I will say…

been carrying for almost a year now I’ve been carrying for almost a year now. No issues, its worked great for normal daily tasks…. cutting boxes, tape, rope, stripping wire, scrapping, light prying and a number of other things a knife is and isn’t suppose to be used for.
