Nice knife Excellent camp and bushcraft knife. Bought three of these for the kids to learn some basic outdoor skills. The sheaths offer very good retention and have a plastic cut proof liner to protect the blade and wearer when the knife is not in use. The belt loop is a little light for true survival use but should be just fine around the camp or if thown in a back pack. The knife itself is very well made and is well balanced. Great UTILITY blade! This Gerber blade is really a well made overall utility blade. Really worth taking on every camping trip and should it get damaged or lost you won’t be getting set back a whole bunch! The sheath is a little ‘Over-The-Top’ for a fixed blade but aids in the not getting lost category. The metal itself seems very hard without being brittle and takes an edge very easily.Time will tell. Good knife, but…. This is a good knife for the price. I’ve owned several Gerbers in the past and have had nothing but good experiences. The only problem that I have with this purchase is that the sheath does not hold the knife as it is supposed to. The tag of fabric that holds the snap is just long enough to snap together when the knife is not in the sheath. When the actual knife is in the sheath, it comes up about 3/8″ to short to actually secure the blade. I know that some people don’t use sheaths, and that…
