Good knife to have Great knife. Purchased a new one as my husband thought he lost the one I bought him at least 9 years ago, thankfully the lost one made its way back to us.Only needs sharpening periodically (assuming normal usage) and works great for numerous things.
Handle is excellent, does not slip out of my hand at … Purchased this for my son to use while camping. I have had the same knife for 5+ years. Handle is excellent, does not slip out of my hand at all. Gut hook is useful on cutting straps and small rope. Case that it came with works ok, though over time it has frayed on the top of the opening where they edge of the gut hook rubs against the nylon
GREAT KNIFE FOR DEER CLEANING I have been using this knife for atleast 10 years to clean deer. I received it in a Gerber Kit with several other tools. I have just purchased another from Amazon. This is a great knife for cleaning whitetail deer. The gut hook is indespensable for opening up the deer body cavity without puncturing any organs (and thus ruining meat and making a mess).
