Awesome looking and feeling knife. Never got to skin anything yet as I never saw a deer this year. But, holding and wearing the knife, I was very impressed. I did a little stropping on it to give it that hair splitting edge, but the factory was still very good. The sheath is both very user friendly and a timeless piece.Gerber, keep up things like this and the Strongarm, we the knife continuity and users love them.
A Premium knife from Gerber I took a chance on buying this knife since there were no reviews and very little information about it. I’m glad a got it. It seems like Gerber is really trying to step up their game to keep up with a lot of other knife manufacturers out there. This is truly a premium quality knife. The 4″ CPM S30V blade came sharp enough to shave with out of the box. The rubber gator grip handle is the perfect size and provides plenty of traction. Yeah..as good as everybody is saying it is…. Seriously NICE….It just arrives..you catch yourself holding your breath….and then you pull it out of the sheath and wrap your fingers around that sculptured handle… (Mama..)…what a feel to the heft, balance, ergonomics, etc. Impressive craftsmanship..really impressive….. I challenge ANY KNIFE to beat the feel of this thing… Regarding the sheath..lighten up fellas…it’s a quality sheath, just not the BEST sheath… This IS the best 4″ blade out there…
