All this fits into a stuff sack that doubles as a sink or wash basin. The integrated nesting design allows room for your compact stove and fuel also. The entire system weighs only 1lb 10.4oz.Enjoy a gourmet feast while camping in the great outdoors with the Bugaboo Backpacker outdoor cookware set. The Bugaboo Backpacker–which stacks conveniently and stores in a welded stuff sack–is fully equipped for the needs of two gourmet backpackers.

The welded stuff sack doubles as a wash basin for easy cleaning. The set starts with two pieces of traditional cookware: a 2-liter pot and an 8-inch frypan, both made using Bugaboo technology. Made of high-quality aluminum, Bugaboo pots and pans are light enough for backpacking, yet heat evenly enough to satisfy the most demanding camp cook. Plus, each piece is fully formed and then coated with two layers of durable nonstick coating for added scratch-resistance. The pot and frypan also share a lid with a built-in strainer and a folding gripper that locks on to the sides to provide a secure handle while cooking.

The tableware steps up when it’s time to eat, with two 14-ounce insulated mugs and two 14-ounce bowls. The tableware is made of GSI Outdoors’ lightweight, flexible Cascadian material, a chemically inert, BPA-free polypropylene design that remains resilient when exposed to both hot and cold temperatures. Moreover, Cascadian pieces won’t absorb food odors like other plastics and are completely recyclable at the end of their service life. As a bonus, the tableware comes with two Sip-It lids to virtually eliminate spills when you’re drinking coffee or soda.

The Bugaboo Backpacker’s best trait, however, may be its stackable design. The pieces nest together gently and fit inside a rugged stuff sack. Not only does the sack make storage and transport easy, but it also doubles as a sink or washbasin in camp, so you can quickly clean your dishes without hassle.

About GSI Outdoors
GSI opened its doors in 1985, after a small group of British Columbian siblings made their way down the West Coast to San Diego. Beginning with a few pieces of blue enamelware and a smattering of campfire accessories, GSI Outdoors grew through the years to include full design, manufacturing, sales, and marketing departments, all tasked with developing and marketing an ever-more-innovative line of outdoor cookware, tableware, and accessories. Siblings Don, Ian, and Kathy Scott eventually relocated to Spokane, Washington, where they continue to define innovation through the creation of unique, imaginative, and fun products that reassert their enthusiasm for the outdoors. GSI Outdoors is still a small, privately held company, with no obligation to shareholders, a corporate board, or anyone else aside from its customers and employees.

GSI Bugaboo Backpacker I purchased this item last fall to replace my crappy mess kit/ heavy cookpots with a lightweight, all-in-one unit. Having used the kit to cook probably over 50 meals now, I would say I have a feel for the durability and quality of the product, and I would have to say that it is exceptional! Upon arrival, I took out the blue insulated mug and bowl and put a 16oz, GSI stainless steel cup in there (with a bandana to protect to cookpot’s teflon coating). Also, I can fit a set of collapsible GSI…

Awsome I love this camp set. The best money I have ever spent. Quality is good and is easy to use in the dark. Heats up well on my tiny camp stove heater. We have cooked just about everything under the sun with it and can’t complain at all. The cups are the best part for tea or coffee to take down to the lake or river and fish with. Great camp set. If I ever lost it I would buy it again!

Flawless performance… THE SKINNY: This mess kit rocks. It works perfectly with the . The bottom texture of the pots and pans grip well, which was good because I was cooking on a fairly uneven rock (closest thing to level ground I could find around me). The non-stick worked perfectly, given I had little water or patience. They are about as light weight as it gets for two before you’re spending twice as much to shave off…
