I really do love this headlamp and figured it’s time I pay my … I’m not one to write reviews but, I really do love this headlamp and figured it’s time I pay my dues since I actually bought this headlamp twice..lost the first one, so I bought a different brand headlamp for a little cheaper during Cyber week, but it was way too bulky despite being the same weight, so immediately back in the box it went and I ordered this one again.
Excellent headlamp for astronomy I use this headlamp when stargazing or doing astrophotography at night, and so I use both the white and red LEDs. The white LED is quite bright, definitely enough to hike with and the brightness levels are all useful as well. The two red LEDs provide just the right amount of light to see well while preserving night vision. I own two other red LED flashlights, one made especially for astronomy, and the Heimdall headlamp is the best of the bunch with broad light that is just the right brightness…
Very light weight, good light, short battery life. I have lots and lots of headlamps. My most expensive is a coast and my cheapest is an ozark trail from walmart. My favorite is still the 3 AAA battery luxolite and SF tech japan clones. This headlamp is my close second place light though. I work outside at night on helicopters so I use a headlamp every day. I had plently of opportunity to test this light out.
