These boots used to be a very good value however not so much now I have been purchasing the Hi-Tec Altitude brand boots for at least 13 years. I usually buy a pair every year to replace my worn out pair. I am not sure I will by another. I put these boots through their paces – desert, mountains, rain, hunting trips, and snow. Don’t fit like the last Altitude IV’s I purchased I’ve been buying the Altitude boot for over 10 years now. I believe this is my fifth pair. Even though the model number and size is exactly the same as the last pair I bought (41100), these seemed much smaller. They have broken in a bit, but still much tighter than the last pair I owned (which I still have). Great boots, but with some caveats. I’ve been wearing the Altitude IV since they first came out. Worn out about seven pairs over the years. I’ve got zero arches so I need the support of the boots, along with orthotics, and wore them daily while working, and also hiking and fishing trips.
