Bought 2, Great Purchase! I recently purchased 2 Himal walking sticks for me and my wife. We are both over 60 and while in good shape we wanted something to take the strain out of our hiking experiences. These walking sticks are excellent in both portability, and rugged usability. We just returned from a trip to Beavers Bend Oklahoma, where we hiked the Mountain fork river. These walking sticks perform exactly as described, and are a must have for any hiking adventure. First hike: These poles are keepers. I had a pair of carbon fiber, black diamond poles that I absent-mindedly left at a restroom at the end of a long hike. Replacement price was prohibitive so I opted for a less expensive replacement. With that in mind, I switched to these poles. They seem a bit heavy out of the box, but to be fair, they are light enough.
Light use, lightweight portablilty I use a wood walking stick for mobility when shopping, walking around the neighborhood, easy terrain walks, craft fairs and other events.
