The Honeywell CL201AE 42 Pt. Indoor Portable Evaporative Air Cooler offers an energy efficient option for cooling your home or office during hot and dry conditions. Honeywell evaporative air coolers do not require power hungry compressors. The low power consumption (only 230 watts of power on low) translates into significant savings on energy bills compared to using air conditioners. Just unpack, add water/ice, place near open door or window, plug in and use. This unit is ideal for cooling a room up to 280 square feet. Four fan speeds and oscillating louvers evenly distribute cool air through the honeycomb cooling media while the carbon dust filter cleanses the air. The electronic control panel is easy to use and the full-function remote control with onboard storage lets you operate your cooler from across the room. *Note: An Evaporative Air Cooler does not use a compressor or refrigerant gas so it should not be expected to cool to the same degree as a refrigerated air conditioner.

Product Features

  • Uses significantly less electricity than an Air Conditioner in a room up to 280 sq. ft.
  • BEST for hot dry climates, where the air humidity is low
  • Non-compressor system cools naturally, efficiently and inexpensively (470 CFM air flow)
  • Used with open windows and doors, no permanent installation required
  • Top-loading ice compartment plus 5.3-gallon (42-pint) water tank with fill door, water level indicator and low water alarm

Does a great job cooling. This works very well in an area where we can’t have an air conditioner. We are very pleased with the way it cools, even when it is just on fan. We like it so well that we ordered and indoor/outdoor one like it for the shop. You can put ice in it and it works even better.

An EXCELLENT product purchase!! I live in Hawaii on the island of Oahu and the average humidity is 55-60%. I decided to try this after reading the reviews and researching a lot of systems. I found the packing to be great (no dents or broken items received) and delivery fast (seven days ahead of expected date)! After adding water (no ice added to the optional tray) I plugged it in and set in front of an open window. With the setting on “LOW” and “Cool” the system dropped the temp in my house by 10 degrees…

I’ve had it for maybe a couple weeks now and so far it seems to be doing a good job. However This actually works very well. I’ve had it for maybe a couple weeks now and so far it seems to be doing a good job. However, you really need to understand how to operate it properly to get the best results. Here are some notes to take into consideration:
