not too accurate Actually. Maybe it is accurate and Las Vegas is not a very even city. I just know when I used to go to work, last year, I would be heading south and it would say south. But, on the way home it didn’t register north. it was off. Kind of odd. But, I need it because when I would go to the other side of town I would always getting lost turning the wrong way. As long as I know mostly what direction I am going, that is fine.

Don’t waste you money on it. Reliable, easy to mount with its peel and stick base. Also very easy to read. I mounted of the dashboard and now I can see in a glance the direction I’m headed when I drive.11/24/17 UPDATE: Not long after it was installed, it started to get stuck in one place and when it got unstuck, its readings were / are totally unreliable to as much as 180 degrees error! TO the point that I’ll be driving heading North for example, with the compass pointing to a Southern direction! Don’t waste you…

Nice Idea! Non-Functional when fixed to the dashboard however. It functions as a compass – when it’s not in car. I tested this. Whenever the compass was placed on the dashboard or fixed near my clocks – anywhere that would facilitate good observation of the compass – the compass would begin reading West or South.I think the compass is reacting to metal components or materials built into the car – causing the compass to mis-read or point in the incorrect direction.
