Okay. Where do you buy the refills? I gave this to my daughter and son in law for Christmas and the next day their electric went out so they soaked the thing and it worked great. Then they read the instructions…the cell only charges 3 times! Hum! Not happy. So much for them using it for camping. Also not happy that there is no indication where to buy refills for them. I just bought a bomb gift for my kids. Thanks AHs.

Pretty Clever and Handy Bought one out of curiosity only half thinking it would work. Well, it does, so far just as described. Of course it doesn’t “run” on water, that would be alchemy. Submerged power cell in water, shook off the excess, inserted it and it worked fine. Would definitely be handy in a black out. I left it lit for 9 hours straight. Noticed a slight dimming but still lit well enough to make my way around our home in the dark using stairs, etc.Turned it off and back on this morning. I…

A total scam The claim that the flashlight “runs on water” is absolutely not true. The actual source of energy a metal electrode (probably magnesium), and when the electrode is used up, no amount of water will make the thing work. This flashlight is similar to the Eaton The American Red Cross Blackout Buddy H2O, which you can also buy on Amazon, but for much less money. The Eaton flashlight is advertised as “water activated”, rather than “runs on water” – a much more honest…
