Essential equipment for anyone who uses a car to reach the great outdoors We first got one of these as a promotional giveaway by Subaru (I think with our ’97 Outback). That one has served us faithfully on picnics, camping trips, and cross-country drives (maintaining a steady 50F and keeping cold chicken perfectly for three days, thanks to its converter, allowing it to be plugged in when we stop in a motel). 18 years later it’s still doing well; all I have had to do is replace the original plastic hinges with Igloo’s new upgraded metal ones.
