Sometimes you need to keep things cool for the duration, and when most coolers will warm up, Polar will keep going for days. Five days, to be specific, is how long ice will last, even at temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. THAT, is insulation. This is enabled by Ultratherm insulated body and UV inhibitors in lid to guard against sun damage. Reinforced handles can handle being banged around, and threaded plug allows for easy drainage or hose hookup. Throw this beast anywhere in car, and know that it’s safe with a snap-close lid and convenient tie-down loops. And when you aren’t in the process of grabbing yourself a refreshing, cool beverage, use it as a seat. This is the ideal cooler for the long-haul.

Product Features

And after reading some of these reviews I’ll probably have to install some stainless steel latches and hinges sometime in the near future. That’s very disappointing. However, when you do get the stainless steel hinges and latches installed you’ll have a very durable cooler that should last for years. Ice melts after 3 days not 5.

Not worth the box it shipped in. Horrible construction. It seems anything that could break did. All hinges, latches, and strap of cooler broke within a couple weeks. Of the hundreds of products I’ve bought off Amazon I would rank this among the absolute worst.

Decent cooler. FLIMSY hardware. I have used Igloo Polar coolers before. They hold Ice & stay cool better than many other <inexpensive> brands. The BIG problem with Igloos are the plastic hinges and latches. You will see other reviews confirming that this is a wide-spread design flaw with these coolers. So.. When shopping for a new 120 quart cooler for camping, I decided that the way to deal with this was to also buy a set of stainless hinges and stainless latches (all made by Igloo and advertised to fit this…
