The handles are sturdy and comfortable with it filled 4 stars. This is a well made cooler. It has the steel hinges and steel cables. The handles are sturdy and comfortable with it filled. But it does not have multi day ice retention. I had a bag of ice melt overnight in it. Didn’t last a day. Now maybe with a lot more ice it holds better, but I am not spending hundreds of dollars either. This is a weekend cooler or a few days. This isn’t the cooler to take ‘off the grid’ for several days but it is big, sturdy, well made, and won’t break the bank…

Not a YETI but doesn’t cost a fortune either. … Not a YETI but doesn’t cost a fortune either. It has metal hinges and latches , metal chain on drain cap, handles mounted from inside. Will do for most people that need something a little more robust than your average picnicking cooler.
