Came very nicely packaged I bought the shovel multi tool like this axe before, and while it was great it did not seem as “emergency” as I would like since it would have to be assembled for use.. The Axe on the other hand can be fully assembled, and since it has a sheath, and is not that big, it can just be thrown in my trunk for whenever I need it.The Axe itself is all metal and feels well built, and everything screws together and feels solid in the hand. Dependable Axe and an Even Better Seller I received this a few weeks ago and the axe generally worked well. Despite the given measurements, it was smaller than I expected but that’s not the reason for the 4-star.The compass is consistent if not exact, and you may have to compensate for the minor differences if your life depends on it. Instead of a fixed handle as all of the hatchets I have owned, it uses the tube sections to assemble the make the total 16″ handle. You can use it with a shorter sections if you are in a close situation where the full 16″ would not work.
