Beautiful with incredible engineering I replaced badly made flatware produced in China, because the plastic in the handles was cracking. I used a set like this in a restaurant outside of Great Basin National Park. I was stunned by the look and feel of the flatware. The knife will rest on its side or on the flat side of its handle, with the blade perpendicular to the plate or table: no more soiled-knife-inserted-in-fork maneuvers to keep it from touching another surface. Shiny and new after years of use I love this set. I’ve had a set I bought from Macy’s many years ago and they remain shiny and new looking after years of use. I bought this second set to expand the silverware to accommodate additional guests/parties. Standing Knife I love the set. I’ve read some reviews about the knifes slipping off the plate. If you rest the knife on its side it will slip. But these are “Standing” knifes, stand the blade on the plate and it is more stable than standard knifes.
