Great set that will last if taken care of properly! These knives are great! This is my second set. We cook so much that I like having extra knives to use while prepping. These knives cut great. My last set is 14 years old and like new because I take care of them properly! Lots of people complain they’re ruined after putting them in the dishwasher but you never are suppose to wash knives in the dishwasher. No matter what brand you get. The dishwasher detergent ruins and metal. That’s a no brainer!

Buy Something Else Bought these knives for my husband for Christmas. What a disappointment. Sadly, he’s really good at grabbing all the boxes and stuffing them in the recycle bin before we have a chance to decide if we like something or if it should be returned. If I could return these I would, but, no packaging. Here’s what’s bad – the knives are light and not very well balanced. When you hold it, there is no feel like it’s a good, quality knife. We have a few other Henckel knives that were not made in…

Poor paring knife has no home The knives seem really sharp and is an all around quality starter set, especially being made in Chica (not Germany). The only really disappointing thing is the slots in the knife block don’t fit all the knives they were made for. I now have a lonesome paring knife with no home. Shed a tear for the paring knife.
