Great knife, great price This version is a worthy aggiornamento for the classic KaBar military knife. The grip is the primary difference: definitely positive grip and comfortable by comparison the leather handle, especially for smaller hands.It has a 20% flat grind from the factory. Understand that this edge won’t last. The steel is very easy to sharpen, but plan to do it often. Learn to do it right, learn to customize it to your tastes, and enjoy it. Great knife, great price After reading some of the other reviews about this knife I was a little skeptical, but I ordered it anyway. It arrived in the factory box with all the instructions and literature from the factory.It is American made in Olean NY. The sheath is a good quality Kydex and the knife locks in with a solid click, and a strap that goes around the handle to help hold it.I also have an original USN issue Kabar to compare this to and it is almost exactly the same. Great knife for the money This knife is perfect and I only paid $56.00 here on amazon. I share the sentiments of the other positive reviews, but I have to say it did rust immediately after sharpening. I know 1095 is not a stainless and has to be oiled, but I sharpened this as it came extremely dull and within a couple of hours it started rusting. I live in a dry area at that.
