The black and silver motif makes a beautiful knife. The black rubber-like handle grip feels great In 1967, my father gave me his USMC issue Ka-Bar. In the following years, the leather washers forming the handle rotted away, as had the scabbard.This veteran finally succumbed to a wildfire which destroyed my home in 2016. Through the years, that Ka-Bar prevented violence simply through displaying it. When I opened the package last night, I knew I had the only replacement for the original. First, it’s KA-BAR, so it’s dang near impossible to go wrong with buying one.The D2 steel is a great choice due to the sheer durability and higher resistance to corrosion than the 1095 CroVan steel other KA-BAR knives use.The knife also throws with bullseye accuracy (use the thorn throw aka “no-spin” or “quarter spin” technique from 8-10 feet), not that you’d ever throw your weapon at an assailant unless absolutely necessary.The sheath is a very well…
