they burn for a couple minutes and then smoke like crazy. These are tiny and don’t stay lit long. I use them to light hardwood charcoal for grill, they burn for a couple minutes and then smoke like crazy.

They don’t look as nice as the other cubes I was using before and … I was using the Weber cubes before but decided to give these a try. They don’t look as nice as the other cubes I was using before and they take slightly longer to light but you get way more for your money and once they light up, they work every bit as well.

You have to store them in a freezer bag to keep your house from smelling like a chemical plant They don’t work as well as the Meeco SureStart squares but they do work. My problem is the smell. I’m a retired chemical engineer and the smell is not coming from “paraffin wax”. Paraffin wax is for all practical purposes, odorless. This smell is coming from what I think is an unidentified aliphatic…
