From breaking down a cardboard box to cutting twine to opening packages, the Scallion is perfect for just about any cutting task you’d care to ask it to do. One of the Scallion’s cool features is SpeedSafe assisted opening. With SpeedSafe, you can open the blade one-handed. Just pull back on the ambidextrous blade protrusion or push on the thumbstud and the blade moves out of the handle, ready for use. The high-carbon blade steel offers good edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance. The bead-blasted finish makes it easy to maintain. This Scallion’s handle is pure stainless steel, which enables us to build-in a frame lock. When the blade is opened, a part of the handle, or frame, moves into place behind the blade, locking it open and ensuring that it can’t accidentally close during use. The frame lock is an exceptionally strong blade lock. The second lock is the Tip-Lock. It’s a slider that locks the tip of the blade inside the handle until you release it, which ensures the knife won’t accidentally open during transport. A great all-stainless-steel look, blade security, and assisted opening…it all adds up to one great little knife.

Great general purpose pocket knife Have had my first Scallion for about 5 years now. It’s my EDC. About a year ago, I lost it somewhere around the house, so I bought another right away. The day I received my new Scallion from Amazon, I found the original inside my lazy chair. Fine, I now have a backup. Just recently I lost the original Scallion again. 2 weeks later found it in my garden, about 1/2 way covered up. I would have never seen it id it was any other color than the shiny stainless. My blade length measures 2 5/16″…
Made in USA QUALITY shines here I lost my Kershaw Chive (made in the USA) while working around the house so I purchased a Kershaw Cryo at my local big box store. The Cryo is a bigger knife but was much stiffer and harder to flip open, plus having “made in China” written on the blade. The pocket clip on the Cryo is turned out on the end and tended to dig into my truck remote opener. I don’t like carrying my knife using the pocket clip so I ordered this Scallion and was amazed at the difference in opening smoothness…
This is made in the USA (not a Chinese Kershaw) Used the Kershaw “chive” for 15 years and decided to get another Kershaw. Made the mistake of buying a “ember” and a “cryo” which are both made in China and both were returned immediately due to severely off centered blades and existing scratches straight out of the box. I almost decided to never buy another Kershaw but I have the “scallion” a try after seeing it was made in the USA. Wow. It was like night and day with the quality over the China made kershaws.
