junk I figured if it was a Klein product it would be good. How wrong I was. One side must have been bent or something, because the cutter blades nearest the grip were jamming against each other, preventing the plier from fully closing. The cutter nearer the pivot wouldn’t cut 10ga. stranded automotive wire, no matter how they were adjusted/aligned. It only skinned the insulation and bent the wire. Good design, poor execution. Klein should be ashamed.
Doesn’t always give a clean cut when stripping stranded wire, but works ok For the most part, it works well. I found that when stripping stranded wire, it wouldn’t always cut through the sheath fully and I’d have to supplement it with a box cutter knife or flip the tool around so the angle was different and keep twisting in order to get a clean cut on the sheath. This made the job take a lot longer than it should have. But overall it was useful.
This is the best Electrical multitool I have ever used. I have been and electronics tech and ham radio operator for a long time and I do my own electrical work. I had one of there’s a long time ago and it was good but this is great. I have to be able to cut and trim large and small solid and stranded wire. This also has a better crimp system than the old model and better than any other multitool I have used. You can spend more and get separate stripper that will do every thing but blow your nose and there are better crimper’s. But this is a…
