Good Sleeping Pad The sleeping pad had good insulation properties and was big enough that I did not roll off of it at night. Strong material that did not rip or puncture on rough ground or in shelters. It was used on a six week, 500 mile AT section hike. It was somewhat uncomfortable when sleeping on my back, but on my side it was great.
Klymit Insulated Static V LITE 4 Seasons This is my second Klymit Static. Neither of them has leaked air. They seem to be well made, keep my body from sliding off and don’t squeak. The first one wasn’t insulated and I felt it on several occasions on cold nights when hiking the PCT. This one is a bit heavier and with the stuff sacks it weight about 620g or almost 22 oz.
Works great. I tested this mattress with temp’s in the low 20’s and it performed great. I ordered this pad to replace my non-insulated Static V mattress which was not usable when the ground temperature so low. I does work best when laying on your back because you are providing a larger area of body heat to be reflected.
