Sharp As Ever Mike Bowditch, a Maine game warden, is an interesting and exciting character. Knife Creek continues the fast paced excitement established by Doiron in The Poacher’s Son. The descriptions of the Maine wilderness add to the enjoyment of this novel. The main character and supporting characters are unique individuals in their own right and each contribute to the novel. Could not put it down This book is the eighth book in a series of mysteries featuring Mike Bowditch. Lucky you if you are just now finding it. Just donât read this book first. It would stand alone, but it is a series that is best read in order since the evolution and development of Mike and the other continuing characters is a strength of the series.
