Every year, millions of people take trips to beach destinations around the world for fun and relaxation with family and friends. However, with each passing year, shorelines at these beaches are inching ever closer to the foot of resorts. While global climate change and rapid development are the obvious culprits, another less apparent factor plays just as big a role in sand depletion – tourists. A university study estimates that every tourist unintentionally displaces at least three handfuls of sand per day. Along with climate change and over-development, the rate of natural sand replenishment in beaches simply cannot keep up. Amazing travel beach blanket Works exactly as described. I bought and hauled this blanket in my checked bag from Chicago to Hua Hin Thailand. Great quality, fantastic color and BEST OF ALL…SAND FREE. Will order another one shortly for the summer!
Repels Sand Very Well This is not a blanket, it is a piece of cloth with edging. That said, it does what it says it’s supposed to do: you can sit in the sand and the sand slides right off. But if you’re looking for something comfortable, then you’ll have to bring a thicker blanket too. For a piece of cloth it is very pricey, but for the ease of shaking it off, it’s great. I bought it because I had to throw out a towel that got wet and then sandy and there was no way that sand was coming off that towel.
Since then we’ve used it and it’s great. Sand just falls off and the car is … I first bought this for my wife as a little knick knack. Since then we’ve used it and it’s great. Sand just falls off and the car is no longer brimming with sand when we get home. It’s packable, light, and comfortable to sit on. Great product.
