fits well and reminds me of a hat women in the movies from the 1950’s might be seen wearing I bought this hat for wearing while riding in a convertible. I thought it might be a little more feminine than a hat with a lariat choke tie. I haven’t used it in the convertible yet so I don’t know if the little snap that holds the scarf closed in front will be strong enough to handle any wind encountered during the ride. Different colors= different size The visor portion of this hat fit exactly as expected. The detachable scarf however is a full 4 inches shorter than that of the same hat in a different color (dark blue). I ordered a second hat in this color (sky blue) hoping that there was simply a manufacturing error. To my dismay both scarves for the sky blue have the same problem. I love this “old lady” hat Reviews from husband were a bit mixed:- “you only need the red cloak to be a handmaid” (from the handmaid’s tale show)- “it ages you”BUT I love it and wear it everyday.
