After I bought one, I had to have another! This lantern charges quickly and offers a beam light, that has a high and low feature. The high setting easily illuminated out to 175 yards. The lantern also has a side lamp that offers a high and low, giving a bright glow, that would be useful in a power outage or camping. There is a red flashing light feature for roadside emergencies and charging is done via a USB port, and bonus, you can also charge your device (phone, etc.) from the lantern battery! Surprisingly lightweight, and sturdy.

Even better than I expected I have used this already several times–all features except flashing red. Hope I don’t need it (yes, I tested it, and it works). Both the direct beam and the side illumination provide significant light, i.e. provided enough light for my purposes. Best of all it is light because it does not need a bunch of heavy batteries. 6 stars! Designed for a second pair of batteries This lantern was designed for two pairs of batteries. If you live somewhere that power goes out for days, not hours, you can get 30+ hours on the low-power floodlight, or recharge your cellphone four times. The easiest way is to buy two lanterns and then the extra battery fits right in. The circuitboard has two pairs of connectors for batteries. You’ll have to solder two wires.
