Very bright with long battery life! Bought this as I was tired of constantly buying batteries or charging AAA batteries to use in my regular headlamp. I have used this for about a week so far on the job and it lasts as long as advertised and the brightness is equivalent to my Energizer 250 lumen headlamp. Charge time is also as advertised and will charge by most all USB chargers (300 mA charge draw). The red lamps are nice for use during nighttime activities such as stargazing or night time photography and will not desensitize…
He’s pretty rough on things Got this for the boyfriend since he’s got one on his head 24-7. He’s pretty rough on things, I know he’s gone through a couple of other ones cause the strap or it just broke.It’s been like over a month and he’s still wearing it, we haven’t had to buy AAA since, and since he has a thing for having it on when he looks at you I know first hand that it’s pretty freaking bright!I’d say I’d buy it again but the good thing is it doesn’t look like I’ll need to…

I have one of the “hands-free” headlamps that has a sensor and turns on and off with the wave of a hand, but while it’s a neat trick I find having the red light much more useful, both for preserving my night vision and not blinding my fellow campmates.
