Really good Multi-Tool This is not my first Leatherman tool, but it might be my favorite. Hereâs why: Like all Leatherman tools, itâs well made, sturdy, and does all the things you expect it to do. But the ergonomics are superior, with eased edges on the external surfaces and a slight curve in the handles when open. Net, itâs comfortable to hold. Second, I really appreciate the spring-loaded pliers, which are a big improvement over some other models. Spring loading makes the tool a lot easier to use.
Spring action fails It gets the job done but when you clamp hard with these the spring doesn’t always spring back. also the outboard knife and saw are pretty hard to open one handed. especially the saw. I had to loosen the screws to get the saw to open. The Gerber MP600 is a better tool for less money and feels sturdier and more reliable. I’d stay away from leathermans budget tools. it seems they cut corners. I’m sure their higher tier tools work much better.
Great deal for Great Quality The Leatherman Sidekick is a great thing to have anywhere you go. I originally bought it as a fishing tool, which it works great for.All the tools work great except for the wire cutter which don’t work at all which is why would have i rated it 4.5 stars not 5.I also love how the knife opens from the outside so u don’t have to open the tool to use it (So does the saw but i don’t use the saw very much) the knife comes very sharp and cuts everything i need it to.
