Solid Tool I don’t understand why the other buyer rated two stars for having received a defective model, then after issues with the seller proceeded to receive a functional unit that they are pleased works. Then another buyer complaining that they have “changed nothing”. They didn’t need to. They made the needle nose pliers have the teeth further apart making grip more agressive, and the wire cutters are now replaceable. Otherwise it’s a solid multitool from Leatherman that will be used by me for…
Very pleased. Well designed and functional. Pros:- sturdy- looks good, black finish looks cool- tools are functional and not overwhelming- scissors are very useful and are sturdy and spring action- pliers are perfectly mated- interchangeable screwdriver bits- comes with a pouchCons:- doesn’t come with a clip- included pouch isn’t that useful and doesn’t have accessory pockets like I’ve heard come with past versions- black finish scratches easily.
10/10 engineering. Im a pipeliner and beat the hell out of this thing. Ive had it for 4 months now and its held up extremely well to some hard abuse. Yes you will need to cover this thing in gun scrubber and scrub it down with a tooth brush in order to get the black residue off. Afterwards lightly oil it down and this thing is a machine. Took me weeks to finally throw down the cash on one, but I do not regret it this thing will probably be given to my kids 8 years down the road.
