Made to exacting standards in St Etienne France by Aime Ledin Construction Mecanique Aime Ledin has been making industrial quality measuring tools since 1902. This pair of dividers is made from high-grade carbon steel with hardened and finely ground points. They feature a quick-spring nut for rapid and precise fine adjustments that will securely hold any measurement. The adjustment mechanism is centrally located to assure smooth action. Contains a universal pencil holder. The robust “Yankee” style flat-leg construction makes the unit very durable. They have a burnished and hardened spring for years of service.

You won’t find better I love it. Very nicely made, perfect for finish carpentry work such as scribing trim to irregular surfaces. This tool should outlast me. The quick adjust feature on the threaded knob is very nice, allowing rapid changes without having to spin the knob the entire way.
Precise, Solid, and Great Features A great tool. Solidly built. I plan to use this for precision drawing. I bought it so I could place my own sharpened pencil in the holder rather than those broad pencil inserts most compasses use.The tool is very precise when use the threads to adjust. No rough edges and cleanly machined surfaces mark this as more than a run-of-the-mill tool. It weighs more than you think a compass should weigh but that and its precision give you a feeling of confidence that it should last until the next generation takes it over. I think its a superior tool at a…
