Made to exacting standards in St Etienne France by Aime Ledin Construction Mecanique Aime Ledin has been making industrial quality measuring tools since 1902. This pair of dividers is made from high-grade carbon steel with hardened and finely ground points. They feature a quick-spring nut for rapid and precise fine adjustments that will securely hold any measurement. The adjustment mechanism is centrally located to assure smooth action. Contains a universal pencil holder. The robust “Yankee” style flat-leg construction makes the unit very durable. They have a burnished and hardened spring for years of service.

You won’t find better I love it. Very nicely made, perfect for finish carpentry work such as scribing trim to irregular surfaces. This tool should outlast me. The quick adjust feature on the threaded knob is very nice, allowing rapid changes without having to spin the knob the entire way.

Precise, Solid, and Great Features A great tool. Solidly built. I plan to use this for precision drawing. I bought it so I could place my own sharpened pencil in the holder rather than those broad pencil inserts most compasses use.The tool is very precise when use the threads to adjust. It is also very easy to use the coarse adjustment by releasing tension on the nut and disengaging the threads.I would recommend to anyone looking for a precise compass that is solid with no play in the joints.

Feels Like A Quality Instrument This compass feels like it will go the distance. The circular spring at the head of the unit and the fine-thread width adjustment act to keep the compass width set firmly in place with no play. No rough edges and cleanly machined surfaces mark this as more than a run-of-the-mill tool.
