Hey GearCooper! We’re still working on getting the details for this product, but trust us, it’s cool. We know, because we’ve tested it, used it, and deemed it worthy. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be here in the first place.

Product Features

  • Wood Knob / Foam grip / Camera Mount: comfortable foam grip; wooden knob unscrews to expose standard 1/4-20 thread camera mount. Nylon strap with buckle strap adjustment for support.
  • Soft Antishock System – Lite: No ON/OFF function necessary because the spring pitch is limited to 10mm. The size of the shock system is reduced by 50mm and the weight is lowered by 20%.
  • Carbide Flextips: concave, cylindrical tips offer secure hold on all terrain and surfaces; Carbide is extremely hard and durable; entire tip ferrule (Flextip) is replaceable.
  • Rubber Tip Attachment: easily attaches / removes from carbide Flextip; meant for use indoors or on pavement only. Remove tip to expose carbide while on trails.
  • The Speedlock 2 is Leki’s latest generation of external locking systems. It is 1/3 smaller, 1/4 lighter, and has a 20% stronger locking force than Leki’s original Speedlock. This system utilizes direct compression force to lock the pole shafts into place. Touted as the most powerful external locking system in the world, the SpeedLock 2 utilizes an integrated stainless steel pressure plate that provides a vise-like clamp to hold the pole adjustment in place. The cam style lock is made of fibergla

Great purchase! This thing saved my a$$ on several occasions while walking around the islands in Hawaii.

Robert J. Skomorucha says:

Outstanding. Good for hiking or commuting. Perfect walking/hiking staff. It’s very long when extended; great for stability walking down train steps and steep inclines. It’s surprisingly compact when compressed. Reasonably light weight yet sturdy. The locking mechanism is simple, fast, and secure. (Fiddled with it once or twice before I got the hang of it.) The color scheme is suitable for a professional working environment. The strap is screwed into place with a grommet. The wooden knob screws off for a camera mount if needed…
