These are terrific to have in your bug out bag (BOB) These are terrific to have in your bug out bag (BOB). I also like that the tins they come in fit perfectly (although a coincidence) inside the Emberlit titanium stoves (which allows you to use them as a fuel source for cooking on the stove).
Not for Me It works as advertised, but I found it hard to scrape and ignite. Once burning, it does its job. It is vulnerable to wind and does not work well if it is windy. We used it a couple times and then gave up on it. We found that white fuel cubes worked much better. I would not purchase again.
Doesnât Work Iâm always looking for an edge for starting fires. Live Fire looked interesting. I received it very quickly, read the instructions and took outside. I scrapped the fibers and used my ferro rod to ignite it. I expected it to light immediately, but it didnât. And Iâm using a 1/2â rod that throws very nice, large spark. After repeated, read a dozen or more, I got very brief flame and fizzled out quickly. Tried again only exposing the entire container. Again, only a very small flame that petered…
