Great deal. First set I have ever used so keep that in mind. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Used them on a quick 3mile RT today and they never once shrank with quite a bit of my weight on them. I did adjust the tension on all the clamps. The only potential con I can come up with is they rattle a little when they hit the ground. Don’t know if that is common with all polls.
So I was nicely surprised they had one for under 50 I always said only two types of people needed trekking poles: the old and frail or those who need to hit the weight room. Well, apparently I’m old and frail now. My knees aren’t as greased as they used to be, so while it was a hit to my ego but I decided to get some to extend the life of my backpacking career. Impressive Quality and Strongly Recommended I read several reviews about various trekking poles, and I am so happy I bought these.
