Melange Coupe Dinnerware is fun, exciting and modern. The casual dinner sets are tough, durable and designed for everyday use. Porcelain is harder and more durable than stoneware or earthenware. The water porosity is close to 0 percent (compared to 2% for stoneware sets). Greater the water porosity greater the possibility of moisture retention in dinnerware and hence lesser the durability. Vitrified at over 1300C, Melange Coupes porcelain sets are hard and stable. Melange Coupes is a great commercial product safe for cutting on with knives and keeping the food surface non-absorbent.

Product Features

  • Includes (6) 8.5-inch dinner plates
  • Made from porcelain vitrified at temperatures of over 2480 degree F, making it harder and more durable than stoneware or earthenware
  • Specially designed rounded edges provide additional chip-resistance; Easily stackable for efficient storage
  • Close to 0-Percent porosity, blocking moisture absorption that can lead to cracking, chipping and rippling along the interior
  • Great for everyday use – Safe to use in Microwave and Dishwasher an Oven (up to 400F)

The plates are just fine, I like the shape The plates are just fine, I like the shape, etc. But they say they are “white” plates. What I received were off-white plates for sure. Those that are looking for bright white like I was will be disappointed.

Jane Eyre says:

Melange Coupe 6 Piece Salad Plate White Order delivered on time in good condition. These plates are nicely glazed. All the plates are level and evenly round. This is a nice size for small dinners, like soup ramekin and sandwich. A very nice set.

The Golden Life says:

Not true white… Unfortunately one came broke but I was refunded & instructed to keep. I asked a question here before ordering if it was a “true white”, seemed a bit off white / cream in pic. Told yes by several, that it was pure white. Well sadly it is not. Definitely next to my other “true white” dishes, it is a much warmer, creamy color.
