UPDATE – FALLING APART AFTER 2 MONTHS – Not as Wide as the “Old” Moab – same size may be too tight The old Moab (not the Moab 2) was considerably wider. As I hoped for…and much better…survived Andes Mountain hiking Out of the box and onto my feet…perfect fit and have broken them in already with 2-3 days walking around. they were actually perfect out of the box. Super Comfy Shoes This represents my fifth or sixth pair of Merrell Moabs over the years. I’ve had both the waterproof and ventilated varieties, and I often have one pair of each. This, however, is my first pair of Moab 2s. Clearly, I like the Moab line, and one of the main reasons is the straight-out-of-the-box comfort for which Merrell is renown.
