Cheap Velcro Really liked this shoe at first. My daughter loved them, they looked good, and seemed to hold up well. After 4 months of wearing them to school the velcro wore out on the strap of both shoes. Completely fell apart and came off of the straps. Was hoping for more durability from a Merrell product. Currently trying to get Merrell to replace under warranty. Will update if they stand by their product.

The fabric around her ankles is wearing through and this part of the shoe looks like sheâs been wearing them daily for 10 months not 1 or 2. The sole and rest of the shoe are holding up ok. Falls Apart – Merrell Only Offer a 60-day Warranty – Poor Velcro and Design Makes Shoes Unusable We bought two pairs of these shoes, one for my 5-year-old and one for my 7-year-old. Both are now falling apart. The Velcro on these shoes is trash, and cannot standup to standard use by kids. It tears free from the shoes (see pictures).
