great starter kit What a great cb radio for the price. I get about 5 miles on it (I would get more but I live in a vary rapidly changing landscape. Lots of hills.) But it works well for me n my friends to communicate around town. It is an excellent starter kit for anyone looking into a cb radio. it is however prone to burning out, had it less then 4 months and it just stopped working.

Basic CB I never meet a trucker yet that was not a CB expert and no body had a radio as good as his. These little units are simple and to the point. They put out all the legal power they can and who REALLY uses or understands what all the knobs do on the much more expensive units? So if you wants bragging rights based on looks this unit is not for you. If you use your CB to help make a living and required a good solid unit at a fair price this unit is what you need.

Best Noise Blanker Ever, However Channel Rejection is Poor To those new to CB Radio, whether you’re driving on the road or talk on a base station, electrical (AC line noise most notably) noise often makes receiving stations a challenge. This is the buzzing and humming sounds you most often hear when powerlines are anywhere nearby. Most new CB radios today have a poor noise blanker (they’re usually little more than simply an audio filter, which does nothing to block out the actual noise). I was actually quite shocked at how effective the noise…
